I’m Yesha Jhaveri, a COSCA (Counselling and Psychotherapy Scotland) qualified Therapist based in Mumbai - here to support you through life’s most complex and difficult matters.
I work within the eclectic framework of the Psychodynamic (recognition of childhood impact), Person-Centred (unique relationship between client and therapist) and Rational Emotive Cognitive Behavior Therapy (RECBT) Orientations.
You can explore patterns in your life that are holding you back and move towards a greater understanding of your emotional distress.
We will work together in a safe and non-judgemental environment to explore unconscious thoughts and feelings, while at the same time concentrating on change in the here-and-now.

Sometimes, we are brought up to hide our feelings, and feel ashamed when we feel unhappy, depressed or angry. We avoid therapy due to the social conditioning, which makes us believe that seeking help is a sign of defeat.
But occasionally, we all need help to get by, and acknowledging that is a form of strength and resilience.

WILL THE SESSIONS BE CONFIDENTIAL?
Absolutely!
Everything that we discuss in the counselling session is completely private and confidential. None of the conversations will be disclosed to any other person without your formal written consent.
MY CONCERNS AREN'T SEVERE, DO I STILL NEED THERAPY?
I believe therapy should also be experienced as a ‘preventive measure’ that can be used as a bridge to maximize our inner potential and help us understand ourselves in a deeper, genuine and accepting manner.
People have a misconception that one should only seek therapy when their concerns have become distressing and are affecting their daily functioning. Rather than this, we need to be open to seek therapy early so that concerns can be addressed in the beginning itself and do not lead to prolonged issues.
HOW LONG DOES EACH SESSION TAKE AND HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I NEED?
Each individual therapy session lasts for 50 minutes, and usually takes place once or twice a week. ( For Couples Therapy - 90 mins)
There is no set length for therapy. The course of therapy is tailored to each individual depending on the goals and concerns you would like to address.
DO YOU OFFER COUNSELLING SERVICES ON PHONE OR GOOGLE-MEET? WHAT ARE YOUR CHARGES
Yes! I do offer online counselling services via Zoom/ Google-Meet. However, for building rapport and having a more personal space, I prefer video calls over audio calls.
My charges are as follows :
Individual Therapy : Rs. 2500 (Online)
Rs.3000 (Offline)
Couples Therapy : Rs. 5500 (Online)
Rs.6500 (Offline)
