Absolutely!
Everything that we discuss in the counselling session is completely private and confidential. None of the conversations will be disclosed to any other person without your formal written consent.

I believe therapy should also be experienced as a ‘preventive measure’ that can be used as a bridge to maximize our inner potential and help us understand ourselves in a deeper, genuine and accepting manner.

People have a misconception that one should only seek therapy when their concerns have become distressing and are affecting their daily functioning. Rather than this, we need to be open to seek therapy early so that concerns can be addressed in the beginning itself and do not lead to prolonged issues.

Each individual therapy session lasts for 50 minutes, and usually takes place once or twice a week.

There is no set length for therapy. The course of therapy is tailored to each individual depending on the goals and concerns you would like to address.

Couple Therapy FAQ

I understand that couples therapy can feel vulnerable or overwhelming. However, this non judgemental space is designed for you to explore your relationship in structured manner.
In the first session, you will meet with me to provide an oral history of your relationship. We will explore various aspects, such as how you met, cultural backgrounds, experiences of having a child (if applicable), and each partner’s perspective on the challenges and successes you've faced as a couple.
This helps me gain an understanding of your journey together before starting therapy.
After the initial session, I will meet with each of you individually, without your partner present. This gives you the space to share your perspective openly, without any filters. Whatever is discussed in these individual sessions will remain confidential.
I will also provide you with the Gottman Relationship Check-up, a questionnaire consisting of 480 questions that you and your partner will complete separately. This assessment will help both of you understand your relationship’s strengths and areas for improvement, allowing us to create a personalized treatment plan.
Once this assessment is complete, we will reconvene as a couple to begin the therapy process.
Remember: The goal of couples therapy isn’t to assign blame or determine who’s ‘right.’ It’s about learning to be better partners and working together collaboratively.

According to the Gottman Method, 90 minutes weekly allows each partner the time to fully process their perception of an issue in therapy gain deeper understanding, and practice applying new principles for more effective conflict resolution.
