Anxiety and Stress

Struggling with feeling out of control, overthinking, panic attacks, or constant worry?

Anxiety can show up as heart racing, sweaty palms, unwanted and racing thoughts, inability to concentrate, hand tingling, feeling of doom or unrealistic feelings of danger, insomnia etc. Sometimes anxiety can also be internal, with no physiological symptoms.

Stress and anxiety are natural responses to life’s pressure; but when persistent, they can impact our mental and physical well-being.

I work with a host of concerns including Generalized Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Social Anxiety, Test Anxiety, Death Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Behaviours, and daily stressors like workplace issues and financial difficulties.

Learn to refute and reframe anxious thoughts, calm your nervous system, and build resilient coping mechanisms. Whether it’s burnout, insomnia, or daily stressors, therapy can help you ground your thoughts and work towards emotional balance.

Depression

Depression can feel incredibly isolating, but you don’t have to face it alone. It can make you want to curl up and put off all your responsibilities. Whether you’re struggling with clinical depression, grief, loss, or bereavement, postpartum depression, low self-esteem and self-doubt, thoughts of self-harm, or a persistent low mood (dysthymia)—there is hope.

Depression can have signs (but not limited to) intense sadness, loss of interest in daily activities, Chronic fatigue, Sleep difficulties, appetite fluctuations, feelings of self- doubt, guilt and worthlessness, difficulty in focus and decision making.

You don’t have to go through these experiences alone—support is available, and healing is possible.

Therapy can support you on your journey of rediscovering who you are and reconnecting with your inner self.

Young Adult Therapy

The transition to adulthood comes with unique challenges, from academic pressure and career uncertainty to lack of self-esteem, bullying, social difficulties, parental expectations, social media pressure and a lack of motivation. For many young adults exploring their identity, may bring about feelings of self-doubt. Questions around sexual orientation or gender identity can further put societal and parental pressure, and lead to feelings of isolation and confusion. If not dealt with in time, it can lead to complex feelings and long-term emotional distress, impacting relationships, self-worth, and overall mental well-being. In therapy, you can explore different parts of your inner self and learn to build resilience, decrease negative self-talk and gain an in-depth understanding of your emotions.

Low self-esteem

Are you constantly criticising or comparing yourself?

Constant fear of judgement or rejection, social anxiety, inability to make mistakes, difficulty setting healthy boundaries, perfectionism, fear of abandonment etc can lead to increased self-doubt and feeling “not good enough”. This can hinder your ability to trust your own decisions and make you second-guess your worth. Uncovering deep rooted belief systems, changing your critical self-talk and learning to be more empathetic towards your inner self, can make you feel more confident in relationships, career and life choices; thereby helping you rely on yourself.

Grief and Bereavement

Losing a loved one such as a parent, partner, child, pet or family member can bring about interconnected feelings of sadness, isolation, numbness, blame, guilt, hopelessness and irritability. It’s important to remember everyone navigates grief in their own unique way. Whether you grieving or supporting someone who is grieving, therapy can help you process your feelings, uncover unhealthy patterns and work towards accepting the loss and changes associated with it. Learning to live with a loss requires time and patience, as there’s no “right” way to grieve, only what feels right for each individual.

Body Image

Eating Disorders, though widely neglected in our country, can have symptoms like spending a lot of time worrying about weight, fasting for long periods or binge eating, self-induced vomiting, excessive and unsustainable exercise, chewing and spitting out food, misuse of laxatives, etc. These behaviours can quickly become consuming, and induce guilt, shame and anxiety in daily life. With 7+ years of experience, I work with Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating/Overeating, Emotional Eating and Food addiction. Therapy is a non-judgemental space where you can begin to quiet the noise, release the shame and guilt, and work on slowly healing the relationship between food and your body.

Self-Exploration

Feeling stuck or uncertain about life decisions? Many times, we go through life on autopilot, unaware that sometimes limiting subconscious beliefs can shape how we view the world and our relationships. Even though we are able to solve our problems, we feel an inner pull to rediscover our thinking patterns and emotions. It can make you feel lost, repeat unhealthy cycles, and struggle with self-care. Insights in therapy can help you identify unhealthy patterns, understand yourself better and help with making intentional life choices rooted in self-awareness.

Cultural Adjustment and Identity Challenges

Adapting to a new culture or navigating identity across our Indian culture can be emotionally complex and deeply personal. Internal conflicts like feeling pressured to “fit in” or suppressing parts of your original culture, losing touch with your roots, guilt of belonging to more than one cultural space etc can lead to identity struggles. Culture shock, the challenges of migration and assimilation, or struggling with prejudice, discrimination, or religious identity issues can lead to feeling of isolation, confusion, guilt, shame, loneliness and uncertainty. In therapy, your story is honoured. You can explore how you feel about your culture, find clarity, set boundaries and move toward healing and self-acceptance in a way that aligns with your values.

Trauma and Abuse

Trauma is defined as “a deeply distressing or disturbing experience”. However, trauma is relative by nature. While events such as emotional or physical abuse, accidents, or sexual assault are commonly recognised as traumatic, so are experiences like childhood neglect, sudden job loss, medical emergencies, or growing up in a critical or unsafe environment. Even within this wide range of experiences, each person’s response to trauma is uniquely shaped by their emotions, environment, support systems and coping skills. If you’ve lived through or witnessed something that made you feel helpless, violated, or unsafe—even if others may not see it the same way—your feelings are valid. You deserve to acknowledge your pain and seek support, without guilt or shame.

Gender and Sexuality

Understanding your sexuality or gender identity is a deeply personal process—one that can come with joy, but also layers of confusion, fear, curiosity, guilt and shame. Whether you’re exploring your orientation or gender identity, navigating coming out, or dealing with societal/parental pressure; this space is here for you.
We can work on unique LGBTQ+ stressors such as societal rejection, internalised shame, discrimination, or identity-related relationship challenges.
